Work Hours: Flexibility is required as part-time work schedules may vary based on individual campus/departmental needs including evenings and weekends

Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remote work

Special Instructions to Applicant: This is a part-time position, with a maximum of 19.5 hrs. per week

Job Summary:

Reporting to the assigned campus leader, the Instructional Aide is responsible for performing a variety of clerical and office duties and tasks to assist instructional faculty, staff, students and visitors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
Maintains student records and files and reproduces class materials
Maintains inventory of supplies
Receives visitors and answers phone
Organizes and maintains test files
Administers and grades examinations
Prepares reports and responds to requests for information
Explains and demonstrates machines used in the area
Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts
Maintains equipment and materials used within the department and maintains room in clean, orderly manner and provides strict security and accountability

Service Excellence
Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned campus leader

*Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

Required Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Three (3) months of related experience and/or training
At least one (1) course in the specialized field or equivalent knowledge and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

At least one (1) year's working experience with individuals with limited English proficiency
Multilingual both verbal and written

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
Skilled using computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
