Compensation Details:  Starting Pay - $50,500

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; Flexibility is required, as occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary based on department needs.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for managing the library computer network and providing technical support for staff and students.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Provides internal management, maintenance, and support for all computer and network systems
⦁ Provides technical support for staff and library patrons
⦁ Enforces operating system update compliance
⦁ Recommends purchases and implementation of library technologies
⦁ Provides assistance as requested for non-computer resources
⦁ Develops tolls and resources for training and record keeping
⦁ Attends joint meetings and internal library meetings
⦁ Consults with Academic Computing and Information Systems, as needed, to maintain equipment function and compliance within TCCD guidelines
⦁ Assists to maintain computer supplies

Service Excellence
⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the supervision of the assigned campus leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or 60 college hours and four (4) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ Current A+ or Network+ Certification
⦁ At least one (1) year's working experience using Makerspace and 3D printing
⦁ At least one (1) year's working experience in a community college library related to the Essential Performance Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
⦁ Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365 platform
⦁ Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly ensuring accurate and timely completion, while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
⦁ Ability to identify routine issues and escalate non-standard problems using established procedures in a fast-paced work environment
⦁ Ability to review basic information and follow policies, procedures, and guidelines when completing assigned tasks
⦁ Ability to coordinate assigned work and communicate effectively with faculty and staff to support campus and departmental operations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
