Job Summary:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Warehouse, the Assistant, Warehouse is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, and equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Reads orders or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
⦁ Conveys materials and items from receiving areas to other designated areas
⦁ Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
⦁ Check gasoline tank and compare with issues
⦁ Prepares monthly warehouse issues report and monthly gasoline report
⦁ Generates and fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items and documents comprehensive job details including labor hours, and materials used
⦁ Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies or issues with damaged stock
⦁ Assembles customer orders from stock
⦁ Marks materials with identifying information
⦁ Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
⦁ Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse or to pick up items from several locations for shipment or distribution
⦁ Completes requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments

Service Excellence
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Warehouse

Required Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ One (1) year’s working experience related to the essential performance requirements
⦁ One (1) year’s working experience with handheld RF scanners
⦁ One (1) year’s working experience operating a forklift and pallet jack

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
⦁ Skilled using computerized applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
⦁ Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
