Job Summary:

This role is responsible for leading a team in the identification of students who are near degree or certification completion to provide encouragement and support resources to promote retention and graduation.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

⦁ Leads team in identifying students who are near degree or certification completion (having between 50 – 63 semester credit hours), and works with other student support areas to promote retention and graduation
⦁ Researches best practices and methods of recruiting from student stop out pool
⦁ Establishes and maintains a close working relationship with academic advising on each campus to effectively direct students in their plan of program completion
⦁ Coordinates and develops relationships with area institutions to increase reverse transfer graduation rates
⦁ Collaborates with the Registrar, Admissions, and other student support departments to increase the number of student graduates
⦁ Utilizes information from the student information system and ZogoTech reporting to generate metrics each term to aid in degree completion reviews
⦁ Provides support to leadership with completing end-of-term student processes
⦁ Serves on committees to collect feedback and share efforts to promote completion and graduation

Service Excellence
⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:

⦁ Associate's degree or 60 college semester hours and five (5) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and working experience
⦁ One (1) year working experience supervising (e.g., managing direct reports, leading projects or processes)

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ Bachelor's degree
⦁ One (1) year working experience with student records management in a college or university setting
⦁ One (1) year working experience using a student information system in a college or university setting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and best practices for protecting student privacy
⦁ Knowledge of academic programs of study and related calculations (i.e., grade point average, minimum hours earned), in addition to transfer credit evaluation practices and their application in program completion
⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
⦁ Skilled using student information computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
⦁ Skilled in establishing and maintaining successful and strong relationships with individuals and teams by fostering productive teamwork, flexible adaptability, and keeping a focus on attaining unit goals
⦁ Ability to successfully lead in a team-centered environment by guiding and motivating others towards achieving organizational goals, while delegating work appropriately to meet College and campus deliverables
⦁ Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
⦁ Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
