Job Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation, the Specialist, Corporate and Industry Partnerships is responsible for driving revenue growth for Tarrant County College by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and implementing effective sales strategies. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of a wide range of industries and businesses, along with current, in-depth knowledge of TCC’s campuses, programs, and services. The ability to build and maintain productive relationships with college leadership is essential. The position also demands excellent communication, sales, and negotiation skills, as well as a strategic mindset focused on expanding the college’s client base and overall profitability. The Specialist is expected to dedicate 90 percent of their time to direct fundraising activities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Researches industry trends, conducts market analysis, and matches potential business opportunities with appropriate TCC workforce programs
⦁ Develops and implements strategies for business and sales growth, including plans for new projects and market penetration
⦁ Establishes and maintains strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients, partners, and stakeholders
⦁ Creates sales pitches and proposals, negotiates contracts, and manages client accounts to achieve revenue targets
⦁ Collaborates with college departments, including technical program tracks, marketing, and finance, to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of initiatives
⦁ Prepares financial projections, tracks sales data, and manages budgets to support business growth objectives
⦁ Attends networking events, conferences, and other industry functions to generate leads and build TCC's brand; supports the implementation of fundraising and cultivation events as part of the Development team
⦁ Plays a major role in the development and implementation of the pilot online alumni association website

Service Excellence
⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Executive Director of the Foundation

Required Minimum Qualifications:

⦁ Bachelor’s degree
⦁ Three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, including working experience in sales

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ Master’s degree
⦁ At least 1 (one) year’s working experience in higher education fundraising

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Knowledge of sales strategies, negotiation techniques, and client relationship management
⦁ Knowledge of strategic planning, market analysis, and business development practices
⦁ Knowledge of communication principles and cross-functional collaboration
⦁ Knowledge of project management and leadership fundamentals
⦁ Skilled in selling, negotiating, and closing business deals
⦁ Skilled in analyzing market data and identifying growth opportunities
⦁ Ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and foster long-term partnerships
⦁ Ability to lead initiatives, support team success, and adapt to changing priorities
