Job Summary:

This role is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and supervising the Campus Support Services team at their designated campus as well as managing integration and troubleshooting issues with audiovisual (AV) equipment, computer hardware, software, and network issues directly.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Leads a team to manage, troubleshoot, install, and provide support in the operation of computer equipment and AV systems
⦁ Assists in the preparation of annual equipment budget and prepares necessary work-related reports
⦁ Monitors and provides Tier 2 support for helpdesk tickets
⦁ Resolves issues that arise between users of the campus technology equipment and campus support personnel
⦁ Interprets instructions, technical data, and blueprints and interfaces with audiovisual consultants and Vendors on District classrooms and meeting space renovations
⦁ Meets with conference center and campus administration for consultation on audiovisual and computer needs
⦁ Identifies aging technology areas or inoperative computer and AV equipment and makes recommendations for repair, upgrade, or replacement
⦁ Coordinates lab configurations and software deployment with campus users to meet specific department needs on a semester basis
⦁ Analyzes technology needs of campus users and recommends and implements solutions to meet those needs including deployment of replacement computers, backing-up user data, migration, software installation, and AV technology matrix control systems, such as Extron and Crestron

General Supervision and Management
⦁ Develops and evaluates institutional and professional effectiveness plans and goals for Campus Support personnel
⦁ Supervises the Campus Support Services team

Service Excellence
⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as needed to directly support essential performance requirements achievement
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
⦁ Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:

⦁ Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
⦁ One (1) year’s working experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others)

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ Current Extron or Crestron Certifications, such as AV Associate, Certified Control Specialist, etc.
⦁ Current IT Project Management Certification or equivalent IT certification (e.g. ITIL Foundation)
⦁ Current MS Endpoint Configuration Manager Certification, Intune/Azure, or JAMF Certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Knowledge of computer operation, networking, and technology
⦁ Skilled in AV matrix classroom integration, such as Extron and Crestron
⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service, support, and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
⦁ Skilled in multitasking
⦁ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
⦁ Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
⦁ Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
⦁ Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
⦁ Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
