Job Summary:
This role is responsible for leading campus Business Services operations that support the College’s financial stewardship, student service objectives, and operational effectiveness. Provides functional leadership for the delivery of Business Services programs and services, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and sound business practices. Serves as a key campus resource and liaison, collaborating with district and campus stakeholders to support service excellence, financial accountability, process improvement, and student success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Administers campus Business Services operations by maintaining student accounts, collections, payment plans, refunds, refund requests, cashiering, contract billing, 1098-T processing, payment processing, and student-sponsored billing activities
⦁ Manages daily operational activities and service delivery to support efficient, accurate, and customer-focused Business Services operations
⦁ Resolves complex student account issues and responds to inquiries from students, third-party sponsors, faculty, staff, administrators, and external stakeholders in accordance with College policies and procedures
⦁ Oversees campus cash management activities and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with established financial, regulatory, and security requirements
⦁ Monitors operating expense accounts, student accounts receivable activities, and related financial records to support accuracy, accountability, and reporting requirements
⦁ Oversees contractual and sponsored billing activities to ensure accurate billing, documentation, and compliance with applicable requirements
⦁ Prepares, reviews, and maintains financial, operational, and regulatory records and reports related to Business Services activities
⦁ Coordinates records management activities, including the review, retention, and disposition of departmental records in accordance with College requirements
⦁ Serves as a campus representative for Business Services by participating in campus and district meetings, committees, initiatives, and special projects that support operational effectiveness and student success
⦁ Collaborates with district and campus stakeholders, including Facilities and Emergency Management, to support effective business practices and operational support services
⦁ Oversees assigned operational support functions, including key control and lost-and-found processes, and coordinates related activities with appropriate campus and district departments
⦁ Supports the administration, functionality, configuration, and effective use of Business Services ERP systems and related software applications and provides guidance regarding business processes and system integration
⦁ Supports student success initiatives through the effective delivery of Business Services programs and services
General Supervision and Management
⦁ Leads the recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance development of assigned staff.
⦁ Oversees daily work activities, provides training and guidance, monitors performance, and ensures work is completed accurately and efficiently.
⦁ Performs advanced or more complex functional work alongside staff while supporting departmental operations and service delivery.
⦁ Provides direct day-to-day leadership and guidance to staff to support effective task completion and employee development.
Service Excellence
⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
⦁ Two (2) years' working experience supervising (e.g., leading people, processes, programs, or projects that included planning, execution, and monitoring of outcomes)
Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience in a college or university setting
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or related financial and student information systems
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience using Microsoft Excel to analyze reports
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
⦁ Knowledge of student account operations, cashiering, billing, accounts receivable, and related Business Services operations
⦁ Knowledge of accounting principles, cash management practices, internal controls, and applicable financial regulations
⦁ Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, software applications, and records management practices
⦁ Skilled in analyzing financial and operational information to support decision-making, reporting, and compliance requirements
⦁ Skilled in providing customer service and communicating effectively with students, employees, and external stakeholders
⦁ Skilled in coordinating multiple priorities and operational activities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
⦁ Skilled in leading, training, and developing employees to support effective service delivery and operational performance
⦁ Ability to interpret and apply College policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to resolve complex issues
⦁ Ability to collaborate with district and campus stakeholders to support operational effectiveness, process improvement, and student success
⦁ Ability to support the effective use and integration of Business Services systems and technologies
