Job Summary:

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the General Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of TCC building maintenance and ensuring work is done in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Performs tasks related to the management of building maintenance and repairs, ensuring work is done in a timely and cost-efficient manner
⦁ Inspects work, monitors, schedules, performs evaluations, and meets with assigned maintenance staff on a regular basis
⦁ Evaluates existing buildings and areas and provides advice and estimates for changes or repairs
⦁ Works with contractors and vendors to obtain bids and quotes to supply services or product to the district
⦁ Maintains work orders, records and reports
⦁ Coordinates with construction services, grounds, plant personnel, and the learning community and meets with end users on a regular basis

⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager

Required Minimum Qualifications:

⦁ Associate's degree or 60 college hours and five (5) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
⦁ Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ Current CAD license
⦁ At least one (1) completed course in blue print reading

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
⦁ Skilled using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
⦁ Ability to work and communicate effectively in a collaborative environment
