Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing advanced operational and technical support for the daily operations of the Instructional Design department and supporting strategic initiatives of the Academic Affairs division and the assigned campus. The position executes complex administrative and technical functions and ensures compliance with institutional policies and campus standards. The role requires strong analytical, operational, and collaborative capabilities to advance departmental effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements
⦁ Supports the Instructional Design department in leading complex projects, supporting the hiring process, and coordinating departmental functions that drive continuous improvement for the team
⦁ Communicates complex information clearly and persuasively to support collaborative decision-making and ensure efficient workflow across teams
⦁ Collects, analyzes, and synthesizes institutional research data related to faculty online certification status to inform departmental planning and support evidence-based decision making
⦁ Manages projects, tracks progress, and produces data-driven reports for college operations
⦁ Designs and maintains dynamic dashboards that visualize departmental and campus-wide needs related to online teaching and learning
⦁ Develops, documents, and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs)
⦁ Monitors and manages team communications, including the shared email account(s) and incoming help tickets, to ensure timely and accurate responses
⦁ Coordinates software and hardware procurement processes for educational technology tools, including acquisitions, renewals, vendor communications, and compliance alignment to support instructional design needs
⦁ Applies professional strengths as a team participant in various projects and priorities related to compliance, teaching and learning scholarship, faculty professional development and coaching, multimedia development, or online course design
Service Excellence
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:
⦁ Master’s degree
⦁ Three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience creating and managing workflows and projects in Smartsheet
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience managing projects that required planning, execution, and monitoring of outcomes
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
⦁ Knowledge of instructional design technologies, learning management systems, and project management tools
⦁ Knowledge of data reporting, dashboard development, and analytical techniques used to support operational decision-making
⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
⦁ Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and reporting software
⦁ Ability to effectively collect, organize, analyze, and report data to support effective decision-making and departmental operations
⦁ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment with faculty, staff, and leadership to advance strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
⦁ Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied and unpredictable in scope and volume
⦁ Ability to perform and prioritize multiple projects and tasks seamlessly and accurately while effectively managing time, meeting deadlines, and supporting departmental objectives

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
