Special Instructions to Applicant: This is an in-person position located in downtown Fort Worth at the Trinity River Campus building.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Campus President, the Assistant to the President serves as the primary liaison for incoming requests, coordinating with and on behalf of the president. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing proper functioning of the activities of and on behalf of the President's Office. The incumbent manages a variety campus and district-wide projects for the president.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Uses project management-related processes to assist the Campus President with oversight and execution of strategic planning projects, including serving as a liaison in this area
⦁ Provides confidential counsel to the president on matters related to internal and external campus relations
⦁ Advises the president on key opportunities for campus engagement and visibility; partners with office team to ensure president’s schedule reflects desired level of engagement
⦁ Proactively ensures a seamless coordination of the work of the President’s Office; relies on accurate, responsive, and collaborative communication with constituents at all levels as a key coordination tactic
⦁ Provides direction and support as required for internal and external events on behalf of the President's Office
⦁ Serves as primary liaison between campus and Real Estate and Facilities
⦁ Provides support for campus leadership team meetings and activities, which may include developing agendas and performing follow up on action items
⦁ Reviews correspondence to Campus President and drafts responses on complex issues
⦁ Conducts and assembles research and generates ideas on a variety of topics of relevance to the Office of the Campus President
⦁ Assists in the formulation and drafting of proposals (e.g., grant proposals) and executive summaries
⦁ Coordinates assessment, evaluation, and institutional effectiveness activities on behalf of the Office of the Campus President
⦁ Coordinates advancement and/or special fundraising campaigns on behalf of the Office of the Campus President
⦁ Maintains standards of confidentiality in accordance with the College, FERPA, student records, and other protected documentation

General Supervision and Management
⦁ Supervises the campus Coordinator of Administrative Events
⦁ Serves as an administrative generalist to interpret and direct next steps on the development and routing of documents such as memorandums of understanding, procurement documents, etc.
⦁ Manages all budgetary and financial planning for the president’s office departmental budget, including all expense management, budgeting, project/special initiative funding, and compliance in conjunction with appropriate financial policies
⦁ Responsible for personnel management, evaluation, and development of assigned administrative support
⦁ Ensures that responsibilities of direct reports are completed timely, accurately, and with service excellence

Service Excellence
⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Campus President

Required Minimum Qualifications:

⦁ Master's degree
⦁ Five (5) years of administrator-level experience related to the essential performance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience collaborating across a wide range of departments and stakeholders, both internal and external
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working administrative experience at a community college

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Knowledge of project management-related practices to support the completion of projects assigned to the Campus President
⦁ Skilled at a high level of functionality in the use of Microsoft Office programs and project management tools
⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships
⦁ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
⦁ Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
⦁ Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
⦁ Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
⦁ Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems
